Urban Framed is a newly discovered brand extending from the legacy of the historical organisation Barki Optics founded in 1930 at Adly Street, Downtown Cairo by Elle Barki , an Egyptian Jewish entrepreneur. The organisation was the first and only in Egypt to provide eyewear to the people. Barki Optics is successful in maintaining long lasting relations based on quality and satisfaction with its clients including artists and celebrities such as Youssef Chahine, Foad El Mohandes and Mohamed Hassanein Heikal. We are the third generation co-founders of the Barki hierarchy, Urban Framed is specialised in providing the human race with none to other inventions of high quality and authentic vintage eyewear pieces. We collect our pieces in harmony, from our passion to the world and back. That's how we provide you with a selection of decades stored frames and hand picked pieces from around the globe with a collision of cultures in your frame.We are the third generation co-founders of the Barki heirarchy, launching Urban Framed brand inspired by East London’s urban lifestyle and fashion making.
