Who are we? Urban network is a multinational Platform created in order to connect people of different disciplines providing them with a space for sharing debating and discussing ideas about cities, their evolution, their design, and their progress. Our Mission: Our mission as urban network is first of all to promote a process, a way of thinking, to ask questions and try to define solutions. Our philosophy relies on a collective and multidisciplinary work just as thinking a city is in itself a collective process integrating the pulp of work of several disciplines (design, sociology, anthropology, engineering, etc.) Inspired by laboratory work, we believe that urban interventions should rely on experimenting and daring to suggest unorthodox ideas in order to seek better, more “humane” environments. For that reason, each initiative is in itself a place of freedom of proposal, where the collective work enables the development of pioneering and innovative proposals for the future of urban areas. Our goal is not only to produce concepts but also tactile and visual solutions, while working on an urban scale that can vary from the city scale to the streetscape. Now more than ever our cities and planet need new ideas where traditional techniques have proven to be mere temporary solutions that extend the life of a dying body rather than give it a fresh start and new thrust
