Die Elektrofirma E. Walther wurde 1928 von Ernst Walther in Kirchlindach gegründet. Vier Jahre später zog die Firma nach Zollikofen um, wo 1951 der heutige Firmensitz gebaut wurde.
1961 wurde die Urs Walther AG gegründet und der Sohn Urs Walther übernahm deren Leitung. Seit 1997 ist Kurt Walther für die Geschäftsführung verantwortlich.
Die technischen Leiter an seiner Seite sind Ruedi Dellenbach für den Bereich Service und Dominic Kunz, Andreas Stotzer und Marco Wüthrich für Installationen. Heute sind rund 30 MitarbeiterInnen in der Urs Walther AG beschäftigt. Dazu wurden viele Lehrstellen geschaffen.
