US-CEE Connection Weekend

The US-Central and Eastern European Connection Weekend is an annual conference co-sponsored by Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C., and Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. This dynamic event brings together lawyers, business leaders, academics, government officials, civil society representatives, and students to explore critical issues impacting US and Central-Eastern European (CEE) relations. Each year, the conference focuses on a central theme, fostering dialogue on topics such as regulation, trade, sustainability, technology, and transatlantic relations. The 2025 event, scheduled for June 13-14 in Kraków, will center on "Safeguards or Barriers? EU & US Perspectives on Regulation," addressing key topics like capital markets, ESG & sustainability, AI and cybersecurity, trade tariffs, and public advocacy. The event combines insightful keynotes, panels, and interactive problem-solving sessions with networking opportunities, allowing attendees to exchange ideas and build connections. Previous editions have featured prominent speakers, including US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, former US Assistant Secretary Phyllis Borzi, and top Polish regulatory and financial leaders.
