The U.S. Coast Guard Office of Data and Analytics (CG-ODA) was established on September 1, 2022 to build on the vision of the USCG Data Strategy 2020. The strategy aims to "harness data to generate insights and support improved decision-making at all levels of the USCG." By treating data as a strategic asset, CG-ODA will enable rapid data-driven decision-making at all levels of Coast Guard operations. This will be achieved through enhanced data quality and rapid and accurate data sharing. CG-ODA will implement policies and processes to maintain data quality, reduce redundant data storage, increase data transparency, and improve data availability for enhanced data analytics. We invite you to follow CG-ODA's data journey as it works to transform the way the USCG uses data to make critical decisions.
