The U.S. Coast Guard Office of Data and Analytics (CG-ODA) was established on September 1, 2022 to build on the vision of the USCG Data Strategy 2020. The strategy aims to "harness data to generate insights and support improved decision-making at all levels of the USCG."
By treating data as a strategic asset, CG-ODA will enable rapid data-driven decision-making at all levels of Coast Guard operations. This will be achieved through enhanced data quality and rapid and accurate data sharing. CG-ODA will implement policies and processes to maintain data quality, reduce redundant data storage, increase data transparency, and improve data availability for enhanced data analytics.
