TB Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA)

National TB Programs (NTPs) and USAID Missions are committed to meeting TB targets outlined in national strategic plans. Through direct engagement with NTPs and other local partners, the USAID-funded TB Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA) Project (2019-2027), implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., with partner Open Development, works with country partners to develop fixed amount awards, contracts, or other awards to support their priority activities. National TB Programs and USAID identify country priorities; TIFA then facilitates an efficient phased approach with recipients to co-design the grant. Once awarded, recipients implement their grants and submit milestone deliverables for payment. USAID and TIFA verify milestone deliverables and monitor the progress of implementation. As a part of USAID’s Global Accelerator to End TB, TIFA increases country ownership and accountability to accelerate countries’ progress toward TB eradication.
