USC Nikkei Student Union

Founded in 1995, the USC Nikkei Student Union (NSU) aims to create an inclusive space for both Japanese-American Trojans and those interested in Japanese-American culture highlighting cultural traditions and community service opportunities. NSU continues to connect college students to the Japanese American community through volunteering events like Anime Expo and the Keiro no Hi Festival. We have established further ties to the community through our involvement in the the Venice-West LA Japanese American Citizens League fulfilling the mission to secure and safeguard the civil rights of AAPI communities. Through the continuation of preserving a safe space for NSU members, paves the way for students to remain rooted in and celebrate Japanese American culture turning the attention to ensuring the longevity of the Japanese American community that has provided endless and unconditional support.
