Upira is a next-generation drone technology company focused on bridging the gap between innovation and accessibility in search and rescue (SAR) operations. We design and develop advanced, AI-enabled UAV systems for underfunded and underserved first responder units, teams often overlooked yet first on the scene. Founded in 2024, Upira was created in response to a critical problem: life-saving drone technology exists, but the organizations that need it most can’t afford it. While traditional SAR drones cost tens of thousands, Upira delivers custom-professional solutions at a fraction of the price, without compromising performance. At the core of our product line is Yevla, a modular SAR drone platform integrating long-range autonomous flight, fused thermal-optical AI detection, and a novel two-way communication system that enables real-time dialogue between victims and rescuers. Each system is customizable, cost-effective, and engineered to operate in the harshest environments, whether maritime, forested, or urban. We work directly with SAR teams, emergency organizations, and disaster relief nonprofits to co-develop solutions that meet real operational needs. Every component, from flight hardware to software inference pipelines, is informed by feedback from the field and backed by extensive testing. Upira is not just a drone company.
