The Youth Council at the US Embassy in Sofia was established on January 30, 2015 by the Ambassador of the United States in Bulgaria – Marcie B. Ries.
We, the members of the Council, are a group of young, dynamic Bulgarians who have three main objectives:
To advice the US Embassy how to better understand the problems of young people in Bulgaria and thus to assist its efforts to solve them.
To create opportunities for innovative young Bulgarian leaders to meet and exchange ideas with American, Bulgarian and international experts.
To provide concrete solutions to the problems the Youth in Bulgaria face.
The Youth Council is not a political organization. The Youth Council does not act on behalf of any political party and does not perform community service that can be interpreted as support or opposition to any political party.
