Welcome to the Utah State Senate!
As a citizen legislature, we meet for 45 days each winter (beginning on the fourth Monday in January), then return home, to our families and day jobs, to live under the laws we created. We represent every county, community, and citizen of the State of Utah.
In this mountain republic, citizens play the leading role. You select and elect us. You live under the laws we craft and are ultimately accountable for the kind of government under which you live. We hope you'll join us in the policy-making process.
