SDSM's Utkantha

Utkantha, embodying the spirit of curiosity and the drive to learn, explore, and create, was first introduced by SDSM College in the academic year 2014-15. It continued to thrive into 2015-16, but due to unforeseen circumstances and a lack of engagement from the cultural team, the event was discontinued. However, the festival's legacy lived on, waiting for the right moment to be reignited. In 2023-24, a new wave of enthusiasm from the current batch revived Utkantha, bringing back its vibrant energy under the tagline – "सोहळा जुन्या आठवणींचा, नव्या क्षणांचा", meaning "A Celebration of Old Memories and New Moments." This reboot saw immense success, with participation from numerous colleges across regions like Palghar, Mumbai-Western, Thane, and beyond. With unwavering support from our title sponsor, Pooja Jewellers, co-sponsors Ambe Sound, and associate sponsors PN Sport, YCS Digital, Domino’s, Pandit Chai, Balaji Tours and Travels, and Dr. Ruchi’s Derma Bella Aesthetic Clinic, Utkantha 2023-24 not only recaptured its former glory but also set new milestones. Their financial and on-ground support was instrumental in turning this fest into a remarkable experience for all. As we continue to grow and evolve, Utkantha stands as a symbol of resilience, creativity, and unity, celebrating both the treasured memories of the past and the boundless potential of the future therefore continuing its legacy forever.
