Our mission at Uto is making handcrafted ice cream that educates the community on Pan-African culture with creativity, innovation and ingenuity “I noticed there were not a lot of Afro-centric restaurants in my community. I loved making ice cream in culinary school and from there I set out to combine my love of ice cream with my yearning for Pan-African flavors, learning the history of these unique ingredients and using ice cream as a vehicle to promote the flavors of the Motherland in our Community.” -Chef/CEO Daniel H.
