UVCE Act-2021 declares and constitutes University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering to grant autonomy with a view to empower the Institution to attain standards of global excellence in engineering and allied areas of knowledge.
This pioneer college (first in Karnataka & fifth in India) has grown many folds in the past 100+ years, producing some of the best engineers in the country. Being an institution that functions on only Merit- Based CET seat allotment, the students obtaining admission are the creamy layer of the bright students in the state.
