Western Model United Nations was established in 1997 for Western students to gather and debate pertinent world issues. Since 1997, our club has expanded to host and attend a variety of conferences around the world. At Western, we have hosted thousands of students at our flagship event, WESMUN. WESMUN began with only fifteen attendees and has since grown to over two hundred regular attendees. Additionally, we host high school students in our other flagship conference, WHIMUN. WHIMUN hosts delegates from around Ontario. Western Model United Nations also attends external conferences across Canada, including McMUN, in Montreal, QMUNi, hosted by Queen's University, and NAMUN, held in Toronto.
