In August 2016, we took a simple idea and gave it purpose: repurposing Expand a Sign’s waste banner fabric to stop it from filling our landfills. But what started as a sustainability effort quickly became something much greater. That fabric became more than just material - it became the foundation of durable, one-of-a-kind school bags. These aren’t just bags; they’re a symbol of opportunity, of dignity, of belief in a brighter future. Today, through the support of corporate South Africa, Over 30 000 Uzwelo school bags have been placed into the hands of underprivileged children across South Africa - giving them more than just a way to carry their books. They carry hope.
