Vaakya

Vaakya is a language learning platform for Indian languages. Classes are taught by instructors who have spent their careers working on studying languages. The classes are taught in small batches to ensure that every student is given individual attention and to ensure that they have time to personally interact with students. Vaakya began as a project to show some love for Indian languages. We realized there weren’t enough avenues to learn the languages the way they were meant to be learned. To remedy this, we began Vaakya, to ensure users can learn the language with the aid of virtual classes. Our mission is to make Indians more Indian and more local. We want Indians to feel local, no matter where they go in the country. We want people to read texts without translations; watch movies without subtitles; listen to songs, shlokas, and podcasts for the meaning.
