The European VACCELERATE programme accelerates and supports COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials
VACCELERATE aims to:
👉Implement a harmonized Pan-European platform of volunteers for clinical trials (More than 36,000 volunteers already registered in the Volunteer Registry)
👉To create a high-quality infrastructure of clinical trial centers across Europe qualified to support such clinical research (474 clinical centers already participating in the EUVAP Site Registry). Apart from rapid access, the aim is to map and optimize both the mode of practice and infrastructure of clinical sites across Europe
👉To identify urgent demands which arise during public health crises and provide answers to questions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic
We regard the pandemic as a large puzzle. Every single volunteer is important for the whole picture and contributes to generation and evaluation of scientific data, resulting in recommendations regarding vaccination.
