"VAFIADIS SA" was founded in Ptolemaida on September 30, 1996. With the decision of the Ordinary General Meeting on 28/06/1998, the seat of the company was designated the Municipality of Thessaloniki, 88 Markou Botsari Street. The purpose of the company is the undertaking and execution in the country and abroad of public and private projects of all kinds, the elaboration of techno-economic studies for all kinds of technical projects, the supply and processing of asphalt for the production and marketing of asphalt products, the exploitation of quarries and quarries' products and execution in general of any other similar or related undertaking. The construction of public works in their entire range, is the main activity of the company. It specializes in the construction of underground utility networks (water supply, irrigation, sewerage). The company has built the first sewerage projects in Greece, with the sewage suction system (vacuum system) which achieves a significant reduction of construction cost of the project (maximum excavation depth 1.20 m) and is suitable for areas with a high aquifer. The staff of the company makes it particularly specialized in the projects of vacuum pumping stations (biological vacuum), biological treatment, pumping stations for water supply, irrigation, sewerage, etc. with a supply capacity of up to 12,000m2 / hour and manometric up to 400m, with complete automation systems (Scada-telede etc.). "VAFIADIS SA" is registered in the Register of Contractors (ΜΕΕΠ) with registration number 16652, as a 5th class contractor for Hydraulic projects. It is also registered in the special boards of the Ministry of National Defense for undertaking NATO infrastructure projects.
