With up to 97% of respiratory infection cases remaining undiagnosed and a significant risk of future pandemics, earlier and faster diagnosis is key to reducing the spread of emerging viral infections, enabling timely treatment and mitigating their burden. Our non-invasive, automated, and real-time devices identify common respiratory infections from a single exhalation, even before the manifestation of symptoms. By combining the high accuracy and reliability of molecular diagnostics with the portability and rapid analysis capabilities of point-of-care solutions, we are making diagnostics faster, more accessible and scalable, significantly reducing the burden on healthcare systems. VAir is incubated at the Drahi-X Novation Center as part of its X-Up Create programme, and is a member of the École Polytechnique ecosystem.
