Valfreyja is a Fast FPS and movement shooter, developed as a vertical slice in 2024 by a team of 18 alumni from ISART Digital. 🪽 Embarking on the creation of Valfreyja in 2023, our creative team aimed to stretch beyond what we thought possible, venturing into the unexplored realms of PS5 and Unreal Engine 5 development.
🪽 We approached this journey with humility, seeing it as a valuable opportunity to learn, grow, and refine our craft beyond our initial expectations.
🪽 Starting from scratch with just a genre and technology was also daunting, yet it united us. Reinventing the movement shooter genre in just 42 business days seemed impossible, but we focused on infusing it with unique speedrunning elements and perpetual motion, making it stand out.
🪽 The game melds realistic visuals with grandiose lighting and pulsating electronic music to promise a captivating gameplay where every second forges a legendary encounter with your destiny.
