The Matador UAS Consortium seeks to leverage the FAA ARC’s Recommendations for leveraging “Linear Assets” such as railroad tracks, electrical transmission lines, and other features as fixed and reliable UAS flight corridors.
These recommendations are the result of both railroad and electrical transmission providers leveraging linear assets in partnership with both NASA and the FAA to provide safe and reliable UAS operations. Over the past 8+ years, these commercial operators have progressively demonstrated the ability to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations
