Valued Housing

Valued Housing (“Valued”) was organized by the principals of Barker Management, Incorporated (“BMI”) to facilitate the construction and preservation of affordable housing. Valued provides turn-key development and construction consulting services utilizing extensive knowledge of the California multifamily housing revenue bond program, HUD Section 202 and 236 programs and both the 9% and 4% California low-income housing tax credit programs. The principal members of Valued draw on collective experience in the affordable housing management and real estate fields of more than 75 years. Valued is organized as a dedicated team, capable of offering a full host of services including: consulting, financial modeling, construction planning and management, relocation occupancy stabilization and loan conversion services. In addition to the development services described above, Valued has an ownership share in 22 affordable housing projects located in Los Angeles and Nevada, comprising of 2,130 units. Acting in its capacity as general partner with respect to 1,628 of the units and as limited partner for the remaining 502 units. Valued has used its expertise to ensure the preservation and long-term success of each of the projects, while also being mindful of potential opportunities to maximize the value of the projects. The success that Valued has achieved over a relatively short period of time is based on the solid philosophy of “Attention to Detail”. While the slogan is simple, it has allowed Valued to underscore the necessity of monitoring each and every task involved in developing a property.
