Great-great-grandfather Gustave Vandeputte had the idea of processing flaxseed, and that is where’s our story begins. With just a tiny flaxseed. The group has a wide range of solutions and activities, divided into 3 major activities: Soap Factory The Soaps and Detergents activity is active in the development, manufacturing, packaging, and marketing of liquid detergents. With 2 production sites (Belgium & France) we are recognized as one of the major players in soaps and detergents in the Western European market. Our customer portfolio ranges from classic retail to B2B. Our state-of-the-art facilities and expertise in formulation ensure premium products that deliver exceptional results. Oils Vandeputte Group, a reference in the world of linseed. More than 10% of the world’s linseed production comes through us. The Oil mill activity is active in the crushing of flaxseed in order to extract linseed oil for the manufacture of our soaps but also for various applications: food, components for paints, inks, varnish, Linoleum,… (Oleochemicals activity) as well as flaxseed for animal feed. We have a high-tech and ultra-functional oil mil facility. Oleochemistry The Oleochemicals activity is active in the development, production, and marketing of vegetable oil derivatives. The final product has a variety of applications (off-set inks, binder for decorative paint or white paint, additive for greases and lubricants, wood treatment, …) For five generations, the family has been committed to sustainable development in each of its activities.
