Vanish Ventures (www.vanishventures.com) began as a small business consulting and investment practice. Over time, it has evolved to focus less on scaling and more on creating: a container for reflection, connection, and whatever wants to emerge in the second half of life — a recognition of what’s falling away, and of the new ventures ahead. Founded by Van Barker after selling YardStash, a private-label e-commerce company, Vanish Ventures reflects the arc of his midlife shift. After decades building businesses and advising others, Van turned toward reconnecting with family, nature, and the deeper questions of this life stage. His journey has included Sage-ing International’s conscious aging program, immersive shamanic studies, mindfulness work through UC San Diego, group facilitation, and Wilderness First Aid certification. With structure, clarity, and discernment, Vanish Ventures continues to support practitioners, creators, and community leaders.
