We are the world’s largest tender-assisted drilling (TAD) rig owner and operator, with a total of 11 TADs in our fleet. As the market leader in tender-assist development and production drilling, our tender rigs can be deployed for operations in waters as shallow as 30 feet to as deep as 6,000 feet. Sapura Drilling Business has close to 50 years of drilling experience, with footprints in Asia, Middle East and Africa as well as the Americas. We trace our roots to Robray Offshore Drilling Co. Ltd in Singapore, which was established in 1972. Robray went through a series of mergers and acquisitions over the years, involving offshore players Smedvig, Petrodrill and Seadrill. Sapura Drilling was established after Vantris Energy (then known as Sapura Energy Berhad) acquired the majority of Seadrill’s tender rigs and expertise in 2013.
