Vardberg - an organization for Western co-operation and international affairs is an Icelandic nonprofit organization, aiming to further democratic values and the rule of law, advancing international cooperation and the merits set forth in the North Atlantic Treaty. Vardberg organizes debates on international affairs and cooperation, particularly the role and policies of NATO, with special emphasis on security and defense developments in the High North. Vardberg is a member of The Atlantic Treaty Association ATA and Young Atlantic Treaty Association YATA. Most of Vardberg's meetings and news on its website are in Icelandic. In some cases meetings and videos are conducted in English. The chair of Vardberg ATA Iceland is David Stefansson.
