VARINA is a 100% Portuguese owned and locally operated company of community-based tourism, providing unique bicycle, cooking and walking experiences in Trafaria and Costa Da Caparica regions. We promote a high-level of positive social impact with an emphasis on the sustainable development of our community. Our goal is to showcase the historic fishing culture by highlighting the community here, working and interacting with local people, traditional fishermen and former street vendors.
VARINA goes beyond a service business by sharing unique once in a life time experiences; offering guided bicycle tours along the fishing villages, tours integrated with yoga classes set in nature, cooking classes with local grannies and bicycle rentals.
Our office is conveniently located at the Trafaria Ferry Station, it’s the perfect start to your journey exploring the other side of the Tagus River.
