“VAROUTSIKOS” customs brokerage agency was established in 1925 by Georgios P. Varoutsikos and its main professional objective was customs brokerage services. The booming trade at that time and the gradual development of Volos port, as an alternative transit commercial resource, opened up a positive perspective for the profession of customs brokerage. In 1956 Panagiotis G. Varoutsikos took over the business, keeping priorities steadily orientated towards customs brokerage services. This period gave an additional impetus to the profession concerned and the business itself, because it coincided with the industrial prosperity of the wider area of Volos.
