The Vascular Dynamics Lab (VDL) focuses on examining the complex interactions of mechanical, neural and humoral factors in peripheral arteries in response to both acute and chronic changes in physical activity.
Our contributions to the development and refinement of methods of measurement of arterial compliance and endothelial function in humans and determining the impact on arterial structure and function are ever-growing and bring upon important findings and insights within various populations. Currently, the VDL is performing studies investigating the sex and gender influences on human vascular function, cardiovascular function in the context of sleep on vascular function, and exercise training with individuals with a spinal cord injury, and so much more.
