VÄV Basics was born the moment we wondered why basic t-shirts never seemed to last longer than a few months before having to be replaced. Therefore, we set out to begin a project in Lima, Peru with the purpose of maximizing the potential of the most durable cotton in the world - Peruvian Pima cotton. The climate of northern Peru provides the perfect conditions to breed the Peruvian Pima cotton variety, which we masterfully weave into 80s thread count, two-ply t-shirts. Following the wide success of our operations in Peru, we brought our winning formula to the United States to allow the world to discover that high quality can be affordable.
