About Dutch Surgical Society for Medical Students

DSSMS was founded in 2014 after being inspired by the Surgical Societies in the United Kingdom and United States of America. We aim to provide education about the surgical disciplines for medical students of all eight medical faculties of the Netherlands. Doing so, we want to provide more depth to surgical knowledge, let students practice their surgical skills and teach them to interpret scientific literature: 'evidence based surgery'.
