The Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases Research Group is a team of researchers dedicated to reducing the burden of Vector-Borne diseases through basic and applied research. We make use of modern molecular and serological techniques to investigate and provide adequate knowledge to combat the global threat of vector-borne diseases such as malaria, trypanosomiasis and cutaneous Leishmaniasis. We also provide training and mentorship to students as well as undertake community engagement to sensitive endemic communities on disease prevention strategies.
