Velis Vineyards is a winemaking project that transcends borders and unites cultures. It all started with the discovery and re-cultivation of a small parcel of old vines in Bulgaria's upper Thracian Valley. Now we have over 36 hectares of vineyards.
Our vineyards are located in Bulgaria's upper Thracian Valley and in Rheinhessen, Germany. Our wines from the collections Velis Vineyards and Heaven's Door are produced exclusively in our modern winery in Flörsheim-Dalsheim, Germany. Grapes harvested in Bulgaria are cooled down and transported in temperature-controlled trucks to Germany, where they are vinified.
Our wines from the series Villa Velis are produced entirely in Bulgaria in our Villa Velis winery, which opened its doors in summer 2021 and quickly established itself as a home to fine wine and modern art.
