Team Velociracers is a student run, non-profit organization from College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) that designs, manufactures and tests hybrid vehicles.
Started in 2013 under the initiative of engineering under-graduates, the team today comprises of a students from various engineering disciplines working towards a common goal to develop innovative sustainable technologies that can applied in automotive industry. Every year the team comes up with a optimized design of hybrid trike engineered as per the rules of the SAEINDIA Efficycle organizers. The students also get work on latest technologies to bring their design into reality while managing the entire project within a limited time frame and budget.
The team first presented it's hybrid vehicle prototype at the 2014 version of Efficycle and since then has never looked back. With numerous awards to its name, the team was crowned National Champions at the Efficycle 2017 & 2019 because of its stellar performance in both static & dynamic events.
