Vendée Globe Foundation

The Vendée Globe Foundation is a French non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of marine ecosystems for present and future generations. Since 1989, the participants and supporters of the Vendée Globe have been witnesses to the fragility of the ocean. As they sail around the world, the skippers underline the importance of better understanding this precious space and of regulating our actions to preserve its resources. In collaboration with the scientific community, the Endowment Fund aims to make the Vendée Globe's commitments long-term. With this in mind, the Vendée Globe Foundation is committed to financing scientific projects that will enable us to take concrete, long-term action to protect our marine heritage. Behind this mission are, above all, men and women committed to serving the territory and the common good. Our missions range from supporting research and subsidising technical equipment on IMOCA boats to raising public awareness of the challenges facing our precious planet. As part of our philanthropic approach, we are also keen to ensure a participative framework between leaders in the scientific and academic worlds and anyone with a particular sensibility that matches our own.
