Verachtert nv was established as a wholesale business for needlework, embroidery yarns and knitting wool by Mr Jos Verachtert in 1949. The company /quickly started designing needlework kits and painting embroidered cushions as well as Smyrna tapestries. Nowadays the Verachtert Group is a company with over 300 employees, and it has a business unit in Belgium and Tunisia. The products of the Verachtert Group are distributed in almost 70 countries. The Verachtert Group is active in 4 domains: - Verachtert nv: wholesaler of needlework and accessories, knitting wool - Vervaco: design production and marketing of needlework kits - Verdeco: design, production and marketing of home decoration products, mainly made to measure, such as blinds, hotel linen,... - Vertex: design and production of technical sports clothes as a subcontractor
