Verent Solutions, is a Public Benefit Company whose mission is to promote healthy, transparent, and more equitable rental housing relationships and markets. At Verent, we firmly believe that small scale rental property owners must play a critical role in the solution to the affordable housing crisis that is suffocating communities around the world. These small scale owners provide the vast majority of affordable rental housing across the globe. They represent the greatest opportunity for addressing the current crisis and yet they remain underserved by the systems of support and the Proptech sector at large. Our goal is to leverage platform dynamics to support these property owners - preserving the hundreds of millions of ‘naturally occurring’ affordable housing units around the world - and to incentivize other small scale property owners to “unlock” stranded or underutilized units making them available to low-income and marginalized tenants. Our rental relationship management app, Pacto, we aim to make it easier for small scale property owners to welcome long-term tenants with past housing instability. Pacto supports these owners and the tenants they rent to throughout their housing journey - seamlessly connecting them to the ecosystem of essential support services that are often needed to establish and maintain stable and healthy rental relationships. Pacto can currently be purchased by housing organizations, who offer Pacto licences to the landlords and tenants that they are supporting. This helps these organizations support more people, better.
