Verified Organic is a blockchain-based platform that allows farmers, producers, retailers, and consumers to track and verify each step in the crop production process, from planting, to fertilizing, to natural pesticide application, to harvesting and packaging, and finally to the distribution supply chain. Each step is contemporaneously recorded and verified with time, date, user authentication, geo-location, and independent lab testing prior to harvest, creating a permanent and immutable record that may be accessed and audited by stakeholders. The recorded, immutable data provides full transparency of the organic food cultivation and supply chain to retailers and consumers, assuring them that the items they purchase are, indeed, organic and commanding a premium price as a result. We are founded by the executive team of Integrated Ag LP, an institutional investment manager that owns and operates a portfolio of thousands of acres of certified organic and conventional farmland in the Southwestern United States, and our team includes experts in organic farming and food supply chains who have built one of the largest certified organic farms in the United States in Yuma County, AZ. Our first-hand familiarity with the organic growing process, including the USDA certification and its limitations, has allowed us to develop a solution that’s both practical and effective at demonstrating our clients’ adherence to the organic planting, growing, and production process.
