Elegance meets Technology “VERTO” is a 360-degree multi-directional air purification tower designed on the principals of aerodynamics. VERTO is a result of years of research and development between the design team of Studio Symbiosis Architects and filtration specialists MANN+HUMMEL. VERTO cleans about 600000 cubic meters of air per day, which is equivalent to an area twice the size of a cricket field with a height of 2 meters. VERTO cleans fine dust particles (PM2.5, PM10) and lowers NO2 and ozone levels, thus adding to the initiative of healthy and clean environment for the visitors. VERTO is equipped with energy-efficient fans that suck in the ambient air. Combination filters have been used to bring down Nitrogen dioxide and ozone levels. These have a highly effective filter layer for fine dust combined with a special activated carbon layer. Due to its large inner surface area, the highly porous activated carbon is able to absorb NO2 efficiently. This specially developed combination filter medium enables a particularly high air throughput with very low energy consumption. A control system enables the operation of the filter columns to be adjusted according to demand and thus react to the current air quality. External sensors record and collect data on the cloud. This technology has been on the market since 2018 and has been successfully implemented by German governmental institutions to tackle pollution levels on some of the most polluted traffic segments in rural areas to maintain the strict EU pollution levels! In Stuttgart, the city with the most polluted streets, the hot spots are now below the legal limits! More than 99% of people living in urban areas are exposed to air quality levels that exceed the World Health Organization (WHO) limits.
