Our company has created a hydrophobic nano coating that is formulated to bind to glass and protect the surface of a solar panel from collecting dirt particles. It significantly reduces surface friction allowing dust and pollen particles to slide off, resulting in minimal debris build up on any panel. Our product is unique, because of the way it binds to the glass surface. Our coating is multidentate, which means the molecules bind to the glass on multiple contact points. Along with durability, our coating ranges from 1-2nm, essentially the size of a DNA strand. This thin characteristic is vital when looking at the solar panel industry because the attribute allows for maximum sun light penetration to the solar cells.
