VIA electronic is a part of the japanese KOA Corporation, one of the biggest manufacturer of passive components worldwide.
VIA is spezialised on the manufacturing of LTCC Multilayer ceramic. LTCC means Low Temperature Cofired Ceramics.
We manufacture customized LTCC designs for industrial application, medical and scientific, space and defense and others.
At our site at Hermsdorf in Thuringia we manufatcure since 1997.
For R&D and Development projects we have access to longterm cooperations with national and international Research Institutes and Universities.
Ceramic boards for Sensors, high frequency application like radar, boards for quantum computing and infrared telescope or customized ceramic packages for electronic components like bare dies are frequently used applications.
Often special requirements lead to a special adaptation of the technology to achieve the challenging target.
VIA has the expertise of material scientists and process engineers to choose applicable materials and to develop innovative solutions to meet customers request.
We work with Micromax Greentape Material (Celanese former DuPont) KOA's proprietary own greentape. In case of special solutions we use our core technologiues also on special materials like Al2O3, Glas or Ferrite.
The focus is on small and medium quantities with high complexity.
