Stichting primair onderwijs Viadere verzorgt openbaar en protestants-christelijk primair onderwijs op 15 basisscholen in Almelo en 1 basisschool in Wierden. Ook biedt Viadere een regiovoorziening voor niet Nederlandstalige leerlingen.
Viadere is de vertaling van onze belofte: ‘Jij hebt onze aandacht, wij zien jou!’ De naam is samengesteld uit het Latijnse ‘videre’ voor ‘zien’ en ‘via’ voor ‘de weg’ of ‘de reis’. Het staat symbool voor de aandacht die de medewerkers op onze scholen hebben voor de ontwikkeling (de ‘reis’) die de leerling doormaakt op de basisschool. In het kort is onze boodschap met deze naam: ‘Jij hebt onze aandacht!’
