Viamed Ltd

Established in 1977, Viamed is a privately owned organisation that designs, manufactures and distributes medical products for general and critical patient care applications in hospitals throughout the U.K. Other marketed areas include: Paramedic Services, General Practitioners, Dental and Veterinary Surgeries. Viamed began in 1977 specialising in the distribution of medical oxygen monitoring equipment within the UK. Distribution expanded to cover initially small electro-medical products and culminated in the late 1980’s to include comprehensive patient monitoring systems. Over the past 20+ years sales have been conducted firstly by expanding the product profile by manufacturing a comprehensive range of infant and neonatal products and more recently the manufacture of pulse oximetry and capnography equipment designed with the latest technology and materials. Further growing in the international markets Viamed have started to grow the distribution network with the help of independent distributors throughout Europe, the Middle East, Far East and North America. Now sales in the UK are conducted through a small number of sub-distributors as well as our own dedicated sales team and internationally through a large network of independent distributors. Internally there are only 18 members of staff, four of which are stakeholder directors.
