Vida Maya (formerly known as Tesoros Maya) is a social enterprise company based in Dripping Springs, Texas. Angelica Reyes Johnsen is the founder of Tesoros Maya, a Guatemalan born and passionate mother wanting to instill pride and honor her Mayan culture for her children.
Vida Maya's mission is to honor the indigenous communities of Guatemala, to motivate local entrepreneurial spirits, and empower rural Guatemalan families and communities through fair trade practices.
Our vision is to bring awareness to fair trade practices. Fair trade is a simple way to make a difference in the lives of the people who grow and make these products. Every purchase of our indigenous crafted products supports fair wages, non-factory working conditions, and promotes economic development for artisan families in rural Guatemala.
Our promise is to reinvest all our earnings to the indigenous communities to create a positive social change in rural Guatemala.
