About VIEILLE

Vieille means "old" in French. Vieille was founded in the spring of 2018 by Anna Engstrøm. Initially, Vieille was an online vintage shop with carefully curated vintage pieces collected in the south of France. In the spring of 2021, the Vieille brand was brought to life. Now we not only offer vintage pieces to our customers, but also think about sustainable fashion by making small, non-seasonal garments in our atelier in Denmark. With a social-ethical agenda, all Vieille pieces are made by refugee women who had a hard time finding a job in Denmark. All pieces are handmade with love and respect for textiles, people and nature. Our design process starts with the textiles. We spend months searching for the right textile. Textiles that can either tell a story or have a beautiful texture. After collecting the textiles, we start to transform them into a garment. Working closely with our pattern designer, all patterns are hand drawn and adjusted throughout the sewing process to ensure the garment has the right fit. All of Vieille's pieces are made to order. If you place an order online, expect a production time of 1-4 days before we can ship your order. This way we have eliminated almost all waste and overproduction. Small fabric scraps are used to make small pieces for our collection, such as hair ties, hair bows, and children's clothing.
