Vancouver Island Engineering Society

Mission: We are a general engineering society which supports engineering education, promotes the advancement and application of engineering knowledge for the betterment of Vancouver Island, it’s ecology, economy, and quality of life and recognizes excellence in engineering practice. We operate a monthly lunch speaker series of meetings to bring together engineers and other interested parties to promote and advance the benefit of advances in engineering and science. We support undergraduate engineers at UVIC through scholarship and award programs. We also support research at UVIC Faculty of Engineering through support for new programs and individual mentoring as requested. Finally, we also collaborate with affiliated engineering organizations in the promotion of engineering events and outreach initiatives.
