Viero is a Software as a Service Platform that enables anyone to create a food or grocery delivery web application in under 60 seconds. Viero empowers entrepreneurs in local communities to start a food or grocery business in their community and create jobs while earning an income. Most Food Delivery Platforms operate on a B2B P2C (Platform to Consumer) Model in which a food delivery startup lists a number of restaurants and allows customers to order from those listed restaurants through an App (Example Uber Eats) The rest of the platforms operate on a B2B R2C (Restaurant to Consumer) model in which a restaurant launches a website or app than enables customers to order food from the restaurant (Example Nandos) Both these models work well in European, and American Markets, but are not scalable in African Markets. Majority of Africa’s food space comprises of small restaurants who cannot afford a P2C model because of high commission, and cannot afford an R2C model because of high App development and maintenance costs As a result, the food space has only catered for medium to large restaurant chains in urban areas, while the rest of Africa’s food space remains stagnant and undistupted. The solution for the food delivery industry in Africa needs to be innovative and scalable. The B2C Platform to consumer approach is not scalable enough for small restaurants and restaurants in remote areas because of low penetration rates and slow growth. The solution is a B2B Model that allows for the rapid creation and spread of multiple B2C food delivery platforms across Africa Through the Viero Platform, entrepreneurs from local communities all over Africa will create their food delivery applications and start their food delivery platform. This will accelerate the growth, adoption, scale and penetration rates of food delivery services across Africa in the relatively untapped small restaurant market and in remote and township areas
