Many are merely aggregating data without much offline rollover benefit. ‘Care’ is synonymous with the touch & feel; the presence of an expert across the desk, the family physician who’s happy to lend an ear, the neighbor who’s a nurse in the ER, that cousin who’s been a medical representative for 15 years, that ‘chemist uncle’ who always sweetened the bitter pill with an eclairs. Aren’t these The people we always fell back on for medical advice? And that’s the ecosystem which was omni-available during the hard times of the past few months. A lot of these helping hands were women. Women leaders in the true sense of the word. No fancy designations attached to their name; definitely not faceless. But they were in the kitchen, within their communities and on the streets. Helping people, without any expectations of commensurate ROI. Who are we? We are still trying to give a name to ourselves; are we a business entity? Are we a sisterhood? A collection of leaders intending to partake in a Billion $ industry? Rather, we’re a venture curated by some fine women leaders in the healthcare space. Not to mention that we’re being mentored by gentlemen who’ve ground their teeth in the hard world of business & economy.
