At Viper Innovative Products, LLC, our mission is to enhance the safety of law enforcement officers. As a privately held company, we are dedicated to integrating ballistic shields into every patrol vehicle, ensuring that first responders are equipped with the necessary protection during high-risk situations such as crimes in progress, warrant service, and high-risk traffic stops. Our goal is to improve officer safety, reduce response times, and achieve better outcomes. Our innovative approach is driven by real-world experience, not boardroom discussions. The VIPER™ Shield Rapid Deployment System was invented by Chad Martin, a seasoned police officer who began his career in 1998 in Lexington, KY, and currently serves just south of Cincinnati as a Chief of Police. Over the years, Chad has witnessed the evolving responsibilities of patrol officers, often requiring them to perform high-risk tactical operations without the specialized resources available to SWAT units. Recognizing the need for more protection than a bullet-resistant vest, Chad developed the VIPER™ Shield Rapid Deployment System to provide immediate, effective protection in critical situations.
