The Virchow Foundation acknowledges and supports the efforts of the United Nations to preserve our planet for healthy living, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. In this spirit, the Virchow Prize for Global Health, established and supported by the Virchow Foundation, recognizes innovations of outstanding significance with a positive and sustainable impact on the broad field of global health. Outstanding individuals or organisations which have made significant contributions to improving the health of the world’s population have the opportunity to be awarded for their achievements and honoured for their commitment to global health. The Virchow Prize for Global Health recognizes innovations that address scientific, societal, technological, or economic aspects of health.
